Rage Against the Flying Machine!!!

So I went to Coachella Music Festival on Sunday. Mainly to see Rage Against the Machine, which was everything I expected--damn cool.  Other aspects of the weekend pissed me off though, and kind of made the weekend a bust for me. One unexpectedly awesome part of the day was a group called Rodrigo y Gabriela. I'm serious, they fucking rocked.

Anyway, Rage was of course being all political, at one point the singer said the Bush Administration should be hung, tried, and shot (I got a kick out of the order of that sequence), and during Killing in the Name Of (an encore of course) he sang 'Some of those that burn crosses, are the same that hold office'. All this is to be expected of course, I know that Rage is a bunch of crazy liberals, but I LOVE the music in spite of it.  So anyway here's my favorite part: as the multitude is flowing out of the venue afterward, shoulder-to-shoulder, packed in (I actually overheard one guy say, 'Great, this is just what I want to feel after a Rage concert, like a sheep),  a plain-looking helicopter flies overhead, and people start flipping the bird at it, yelling stupid shit like 'fuck the government!' and of course, 'fuck George Bush'!!!! I just thought it was hilarious because, like, was this concert such a threat that the Government had to send a chopper to fly over and keep tabs on all these entrerprising young go-getters at the concert? Thank god we've god generic choppers to keep tabs on what these radical insurgents are going to do!!!! I am sure most of them woke up yesterday in a druggy haze at the crack of 2 p.m. and went outside to make some real changes in their world.  Right after they printed out a copy of their resume to go seek gainful employment.
