Shared on Thu, 03/08/2007 - 11:39I'm going to China on Sunday for a week. Of course when my passport expired back in November I said, hey I should really renew this NOW when there's no rush, it will be much easier than waiting until I really need it.
Fast forward to last month. Whoops, forgot about the passport and China trip is coming up! Whoops, I also need a tourist visa. Well why I don't I just mail it in and pay 2 jillion bucks for them to expedite it? And you know what, I should really get this in as early as possible to give them at least a month.
Fast forward to the END of February--well I guess I have to send it in now, I'll mark everything expedited, throw a ton of money at them and say 10,000 hail marys and hopefully get the passport before I leave (which they assured me would still happen)
Fast forward to today--YIPES!!!!!!!!! The damn visa is still processing--they told me it'd be here Friday, Saturday at the latest. Well if FedEx comes to my damn door and I'm not home, the package will go into that time/space vortex where you can't catch up to it until the following day and I'm SCREWED!
