Did Anyone Miss Me?

Well, here I am again….

I realize I’ve missed the last two weeks, and normally I post on Wednesday nights. I’ve been dealing with an issue involving grace and tolerance. I’ve also had the influenza virus from hell moving through this house. Back and forth to the pharmacy, making sure all medicines are taken at proper times, I’ve made more chicken soup than I care to remember, staying up late to make sure my husband is resting peacefully, and I thought I had escaped it. So now that he’s well, and gone back to work, and I’m here alone with no car, what do you think I woke up with this morning? That’s right – my very own flu virus to cherish and adore – how nice.

As for my clan search, I think I have found “a home”. I’ve found a nice group to game with that has varied tastes, and a nice mixture of crazy to sane, loud to quiet. They make me laugh, and I appreciate that. It also makes me a little braver in my gaming – it’s easier to tolerate the, umm, timmys I think they’re called, and other idiots, knowing that I can have a periodic reprieve. This allows me to spend more time “practicing”, which has slightly improved my game.

…And oooh – I wanted to tell you guys this because I was so happy – It turns out, due to a GameStop error, I am getting MW3-HE for 10 bucks, which I’ve already paid. (Instead of 120 bucks.) I only announce this because I keep saying how excited I am about it, and this is just like the icing on the cake. Pretty cool, huh?

In other news, the fall TV season has brought the return of some of my favorite shows; Community, which I’m worried is getting a little stale, and The Amazing Race, which is always entertaining. (I am dying to go on that show!) My husband and I also took quite a liking to The Sing-off last year – as musicians, we find it technically intriguing. I am also very looking forward to the return of The Walking Dead next month; I’m curious to see where the story goes from where they left off.

This week’s shout-outs go to me – that’s right – me, for maintaining my grace and tolerance in this trying past couple of weeks, and because currently this flu virus is kicking my ass, and maybe a shout-out will improve my mood a little :) !
