Week 3.....

So, last week I mentioned the clans and groups I had discovered….

Well…. The Borderlands group never responded, the clan night leader guy was a no-show, and, since I haven’t been able to get online for a while, I haven’t even met the leader of the other clan group I petitioned.

It turns out, If you don’t play Black Ops or Halo, it’s not so easy to find a clan, or make friends here.  In fact, it’s a lot like being transferred to a new school, and you’re the new kid on the playground, and it’s already, like, March, and everyone already has their groups, and you’re just trying to be friends with someone – anyone – while you try to figure out which group you identify most with, and then the challenge of convincing them that you’re one of them, and not a dork …….    It’s like that.

Aaahhhh memories……..

Anywho…. I guess I’ll probably have to petition some more groups and see what happens. It’s a shame that this site doesn’t have an official welcome wagon, like a sponsor type person who would take you under their wing and teach you the ins and outs of clanning, introduce you to people, etc.  I guess the invite-only update will take care of that. On the other hand, I do love the trial and error, the exploration. I’m not sure I would know what to do if I were just “in my element”. It’s more fun this way.

Sadly, the entire rest of my week has been terribly boring; Nothing extra good, nothing extra bad – just regular, ordinary boring. Blaahhhh. Gratefully, though, Dead Island is coming out Tuesday, so I have that to look forward to next week.
