To Tell or Not to Tell...

Ok... Well here is the background for this. My husband has known this guy since they were in Jr High together. They were never good friends.  Matter of fact, they only hung around each other because of mutal friends. Now, his wife is very good friends with my best friend. (Kind of strange how things come full circle)  My husband no longer hangs out with the same friends, so he doesn't really talk to this guy except when us girls plan something.

Ok, there is the background. Here is my question.

My bestfriend witnessed his wife messing around (in public) with another man while they were out of town together. It was a group of friends that went to the river for the weekend to go tubing and camping. No her husband was not there and yes, I fully believe what my friend has told me. As she began to tell me what she saw, I asked her to tell me no more. I didn't want to know who it was... what they were doing.... any details. Because I would then feel obligated to then say something to my husband, who could possibly say something to this guy.

So, I decided to tell my husband what I knew. But the real question is, we will be seeing them at my friend's birthday party tomorrow night... should we mention that we think something is a little odd or ignore it? I have gotten a few comments so far, but am curious what the concensus is.

What do you think? Tell or not to tell.

Don't get in the middle of people cheating on their partners. It always turns out bad for everyone involved. THe only caveat to this would be if y'all are related or really really really close friends.

I agree, though THAT is something I loathe with all my being. So I would probably say something...but who knows. Is you best friend going to be there? I would suggest you don't say anything,as you were not a witness to it.No need to add additional stress to your already stressful lives. Just my .02

Never travel down this road because of what someone told you they saw. Even your best friend. What a mess.

agreed with other posters. Keep your nose in your own business and in the meantime, post more pictures of yourself standing next to motorcycles. :D

my two cents: I say leave it alone. Don't get involved if they are not people that you truly care about.

Steer clear of it. It'll just turn into a "he said, she said" thing. If she's screwing some other guy, she'll screw up and get caught.

That was pretty much the concensus I had gotten so far. I appreciate all of your input. The party is for my best friend, so yes, she will be there. I truly wasn't so torn to tell her as she is not a close friend to me, but I just wanted to make sure that keeping my mouth shut was the thing to do.

Holy cripes. I've been drinking so you know what I say is 100% true. Stay away!!! Far away from this situation....if it's for real, it will come out eventually. Drunken Mike out.
