anyone want to talk about various methods of achieving trance through drum circles, toning, mantras, singingbowls?
anyone care to hold a conversation about kundalini yoga and the various eastern techniques thats used to raise kundalini through the chakra system, how about the western equivalent of chakras thats known within various native american tribes?
anyone here do any form of mirror or water scrying, aura reading? ...not necessarily for divination (fortune telling) purposes but for self exploration and understanding.. or anyone practice in any form of "traditional" divination like tarot, runes,i-ching,ogham staves?
my wife and i practice a type of trance through drumming (drum circle), within this trance which is created by drumming (reptitious beats), meditation (rhythmic breathing) and visualization (using your imagination) we achieve a state of mind where we move as a animal would move, see as a animal would see (not literally but through meditation). this is alot simpler then you might think, simply visualize yourself chasing a animal, the further into the "woods/visualization" you chase the animal, the deeper within the beat/trance you fall.
some consider this a method of "entering the spirit realm", my wifes cherokee and she does follow traditional native american practices. me personaly i dont follow any tradition, you could say i practice mysticism. i explore various forms of meditation/trance to learn and understand facets of myself and the unifying whole..whatever that "whole" might be. i dont know you well enough to tell you, perhaps if you buy me dinner and nibble on my ear..
