Shared on Thu, 01/03/2008 - 00:28Temp outside is 39 and still dropping. I still think my sister is crazy for thinking about snow flurries. Well, maybe for the interior of Florida.
Maybe SixTGunR will give us a snow update from Disney World.
In the meantime, after numerous attempts I finally gave up and returned Blacksite unfinished. The end boss took over 35 scattergun and over 200 assault rifle rounds and didn't flinch. And I wasn't playing on the top difficulty. I hate it when the developers make an nearly impossible to kill boss. Almost makes the other flaws in the game seem to be trifling things. Such as glitches where your team will disappear, then reappear at the checkpoint. Or how the small exploding crab things will only target you and not even attack the two dolts acting out scripted events. Or the pathfinding where your teammates will announce they are coming to assist then run away and return after the firefight. Or replace your weapon loadout after you pass through a doorway. Or how your vehicle gets stuck on a misplaced pixel. Or the ever-popular - 'let me die several times until I guess what one thing you want me to do here' (just like in COD4 (but less obvious at times)).
While waiting for a new rental I guess I'll be getting back to TF2, veteran on COD4 and maybe some C&C3.
Still, gotta get used to wearing a parka indoors...
Update: it was a dry cold front, but we still got wind chill & freeze warnings.
