Happy fourth, and other stuff...

PVP...May the fourth be with you...

My lovely condo neighbors have been telling everybody that the fourth is coming since last Sunday. A small group of people were walking around lighting off firecrackers & such. At 2am.  The frequency of these snaps and pops have grown to be almost constant today. Such as life on the fourth of July.

In other news...

I've been playing BF:BC for the past few days and generally enjoying the SP campaign. The developers seem to have figured out a good combination of controls, playability and NPC goofiness. The NPC antics and smart alec remarks really help when things are getting dicey and to move through the cut scenes.

Unfortunately I'll have to stop playing for awhile...the refurbd 360 has died on me. Got the three red quads of the RROD. Time to call MS-xbox and get them to send out another casket. I just hope they don't give me any crap about this - they designed it, they built it, they should have to support it for a reasonable time (3-5 years). I wonder if the next refurb will come with a working front panel & good DVD drive...


I've ended my exercise break and resumed the daily cycling. After five weeks I got back on the saddle and I'm ramping up to my pre-break speed. The weight gained from the break and vacation is also dropping quickly. Eventually I'll resume using mydailyplate, but not yet...
 

The vast wasteland of the TV seasons are upon us. All the regular shows are on break for another month or more, so now we just have fillers.  Strangely, these fillers aren't all that bad. 'Baby Borrowers' has turned out to be pretty good, I finally watched an episode of 'Psych' and I'm now hooked, Jury is still out on 'In Plain Sight', forttunately 'Eureka' and 'The Closer' will be airing again shortly (29th and 14th).
