Happy holidays

I'll join the rest of the gaming bloggers in wishing everyone a happy holiday.

I spent the day with family over at my sisters place. Got a couple books from Mary Roach, Stiff and Spook, they look interesting. Also a book on digital photography. A tripod for the cameras; in particular the 3mp Olympus that has a 10x optical zoom but no image stabilization. A duct tape wallet and tie (work may tell me to wear a tie, but they never specified the type/style). A t-shift that is labeled 'meh' and another on backorder. Then an area rug, cleaning products and small stuff. 

But it isn't really about what you get, the holiday is about what you give. My sister was given a new pc (HP with dual core Athlon cpu and 1gb memory) for her transcription work (the refurbished Dell with a Celeron cpu was far too slow). Her hubby received a 1gb memory card for his camera (he wanted 512mb) and the new Ice Age movie. Nephew was given an iHome alarm clock and Nano/ipod gifts. I gave the momster a few boxes of Godiva chocolates. Then everyone was also given gift certificates.

All in all, everyone had a wonderful time.

Tonight I'll hit the hay early then tomorrow try to get some serious playing done for GoW and maybe Fear.
