Shared on Wed, 10/31/2007 - 23:20So, went to turn on the 360 tonight and what did I get? Three quads of red. Yep, general failure. Red-ring-o-death. Must be why it is a whole lot quieter, too.
I guess I'll do some basic troubleshooting later in the morn then call for a casket. Hopefully I won't need a receipt because that has disappeared itself rather well.
RIP, buddy....bought Dec 2006, died Nov 2007. Ye hardly knew thee...
Update - Just a short call to xbox repair to arrange a casket. I figure one to two months downtime for exchange, if the replacement works. It was interesting to note that the basic warranty on my 360 was/is due to expire on 4-Nov. Of course, RROD failures are now warrantied to three years, so that doesn't matter in this case.
Still, things to do...suspend Gamefly membership and return rental, cancel Blockbuster game rental, change all HD-DVD Netflix rentals to standard DVD...
