Shared on Thu, 07/05/2007 - 23:56I did it – I picked up Overlord today. The demo was absolutely hilarious, so I figured, what the hell, and went for it.
Well, Overlord is a great game. Hilarious and challenging, strange and seductive. I barely remember playing Dungeon Master on the PC, but Overlord appears to be cast from the same vein. I just hope that I can reset the game after it is played out, and/or that downloadable expansion packs are made available.
Did anyone notice the news on Microsoft taking a $1 Billion charge to fix an “unacceptable number of repairs" for the xbox 360?! Wow! $1 Billion. That is a helluva lot of bad 360s.
Apparently a there has been a number – too large to supply – affected by the three red flashing lights. Or as most 360 owners say – the ring o' death. Microsoft is going to extend the warranties to three (3!) years to cover the issue and offer reimbursements for owners that have previously paid for repairs.

I don't know exactly what has come over me, but over the past three days I have felt very energetic. I have actually gotten out on the bike (Caloi Sport FSK) and pedaled over my old ten mile route through town. Each time the cycling time was just under an hour. Pretty damn good for someone just suddenly getting out. Now I just need to keep it up the route over my weekend and find a shorter route for my workdays.
Oh, yeah, the last thing. I tried to get into Shadowrun, but after awhile it began to feel like a copy of Counter Strike. A creative and inspired work, but a copy. And despite the hordes and legions of CS players, I never really liked CS. I was ok with the buying of gear (for the most part), but waiting until the end of a round to respawn just rubs me entirely the wrong way.
