I haven't been posting much since I've been spending far too much time playing Crackdown. Addictive gameplay is a bit of an understatement. I was going to gush about the wonderfulness of the sandbox, and some of the insane choices made to make this game a real challenge. Then the unfortunate happened.

Brad Delp, lead singer for the band Boston, has died.

I have been listening to Brad, through singing for Boston, for so long it is amazing. I remember hearing Boston play through my first radio back in the mid 70s. Going from Steve Miller & Billy Joel to Boston was a heck of a trip (it would be another 5 to 7 years before I heard Pink Floyd, but that is a different topic).

Boston albums, debut and Don't Look Back, were among the first vinyl and CD albums that I even owned. I still have the vinyl LPs and CDs. I wouldn't be too surprised if one or both sides of both albums are worn to the point that the needle just slides across the disc (like my Eagles - Hotel California LP).

All the songs from those two albums are played in good rotation through my collection. Though this in an umtimely and unfortunate event, I have taken the time to rate all my Boston songs, so now they will be in even heavier rotation.

Rest in peace, Bradley. Your contribution to music will not be overlooked any time during my lifetime.

Nice, eulogy. I've always enjoyed Boston's music.
