Last week NotStyro and I can... and we will... and it feels so good! Our gamerscore jumped 25 points which was nice. Getting 2 achievements has that effect. Also, I think we can all agree that NotStyro was a FPS junky last week playing a ton of The Orange Box. He played it on 7 of the days."
Yeah, I've been going silly slapping my junk against The Orange Box TF2 - such a seductive tiny hole it has...
If practice makes perfections that explains how well I'm doing. Of course most of the time is spent playing as engineer or soldier. Seems I can play a decent defense game. I'll have to branch out try the other classes - demo, pyro & medic. I still haven't found a good reason for including the spy class, I mean other than throwing the game out of balance.
Gamefly is shipping Blacksite: Area 51, so I'll throw that into play whenever I get it. I should get it sometime between today and Friday. It has gotten fair reviews, just as an average and predictable shooter. Shouldn't be much of anything, but a distraction away from TF2.
I'm like most men, and in agreement with Soup, x-mas shopping sucks. From the overflowing parking lots, jostling room only store aisles, crowded restrooms and miserable children to the double-murder crime-scene that the police still haven't released. Yeah, somebody (or group) murdered a single mother and her 8yo girl at the local mall. The mall security got curious about the parked suv running out in the parking lot after about 12 hours. That mellowed out the crowds for a few days, but now they are back in force. Just now people are paranoid about their surrounding and hitting panic buttons at the least suspicion. Sometime in the next year the mall management has promised to install full site video surveillance. Maybe by next December the mall will also hire people to monitor the video...
I have been volunteered to attend an office holiday party on my 'weekend' days. Along with that I have to bring an appetizer. Boss strongly suggested a fruit salad. Hmm. Canned fruit salad mixed with cool whip? Yeah, I think I can handle 'fruit-n-phlegm'.
The nuisance d'jour is - USPS. On the rare occasion that I have to use a stamp to mail something I can never find a stamp. Or if I find a stamp it doesn't have any markings other than 'first class' then when I put it out for pickup the carrier tells the stamps are old and it the envelope needs more postage. Who the hell decided to stop putting prices or dates on stamps?! At least it was easy to tell if you had the correct stamps. Hopefully don't have to worry about that now - I bought a sheet of 'forever' stamps. Pinned them to the wall behind my monitor so I find them easily. These should last me a few years. Unless they change the rules.
One last thing, if you are in Florida you might as well pickup some lotto tickets - the winnings projected at $38 million. Seeing as we are all old fogeys it go that should you win you should get a cash payout. You may not outlast the 30 year payout. That and the state hasn't been doing well with its investments. Get a cash payout is my advice should you play and win.
