Got MOH:Airborne playing on the 360, so the condo is full of cursing.  MOHA is sort of like COD 2.8 (or so). You play a member of an Airborne squad during WWII. Listen to a briefing, get your loadout, then jump and try to land somewhere 'safe'. There are checkpoints, but they are far and few between so be prepared to 'chute on in again & again (at first, then even more-so later on). It'll occupy my time for a while and give me some outlet for aggression & frustration.

Well, MacWorld came and will pass shortly. The keynote was interesting, but not great. A nice thin, sexy, expensive laptop was introduced. It carries the option of a 64gb solid-state drive (SSD) - and almost doubles the price. Other intros were HD & SD movie rentals - with the catch that HD is only available for Apple TV v2.0 (booo!). Both rentals apparently carry a release wait period of 30 days past the physical media release (hiss!). The good points being you have 30 days to watch the rental, 12 hours once you start watching and rentals can be downloaded to Apple portables. I am still curious if the rentals can only be watched once within that 30 day window and if the file is deleted off the drive once the rental has been watched or expired. I wouldn't want rentals clogging up the drive and I can't image Apple would want files available for hacking.

No new iPods were introduced, so I have to decide on what to do with my dead 'pod.  The choices are...1) order a new drive and fix it myself for ~$80, or 2) order a recert'd 8gb Nano for ~$160, or 3) order a 80gb 'classic' for ~$250.  Hmm, difficult choice for someone on a budget.  I'm guessing I'll try #1 and hope the drive is the [only] problem.

Despite the writer's strike, the networks are still squirting out shows. Not many, but a guess some leftovers and mid-season replacements. Between leftover TV, DVDs games and books, I think my entertainment plate will be sufficiently full. Still - way to go writers! Keep it up until the studios (or whomever) cave!

In politics...things are heating up a bit. Clinton is trying to look more human, but only makes it to Republican. Edwards plays everyman and hopes nobody notices he is still a rich white dude with a fancy law degree and connections all over DC. Obama is busy stuffing either foot in his mouth while trying to fend off the Clinton attack dogs. Loverly.

Wake me on Jan-29 when I can go cast my vote that likely will not  count because the Florida Democratic Party thinks the primary (and constitution) isn't important...
