Tron Tuesdays

Ok so this will be my update day, even if I just check in and say I dont have anything to show you cause I've either been a slack ass all week, or have had catastrophic failures. Anyway I'm still early in the planning stages, waiting on a lot of stuff, got a big list of stuff to order, but I needed to start working out some features. It is real easy to make a photoshop mockup, but turning that into real life can sometimes be tricky. I got the spinmaster lights and sounds identity disc and proceded to tear it apart. all I'll be using is the front face. The lights and sounds are cheap and even the plastic that the light glows through sucks. the iner U glow ring actually only had small led'd lighting it, so I gutted it all. I replaced the iner ring with blue air line for a fish tank. perfect size and will defuse the light nicely. Another reason for the hose is that I can run El Glow wire through the middle. I bought 5 ft of glowline from autozone for 20 bucks to test it out... total fail. In short it sucked... no glow and only a thin blue line... I hope I have better luck with online sorces. I also drilled out the 4 small ports on the disc that are supposed to be lights but they opted for painting them white. I'll be adding white led's. I also did a mock up of the xbox logo I'm pretty happy with it, I'm hopping that the el wire will "bump up the glow"

For the faceplate I want to try to recreate the glass covering of sams helmet, it just isnt a visor it covers the whole helmet, I had this faceplate laying around so I did my practice cuts on it it should give you an idea of the look I'm going for... Well thats all for now, catch ya on the grid...
