BIG setback!

I had my guitar done yesterday. So I went to apply my clearcoat to seal it and apparently the clearcoat and the Fusion spraypaint don't like each other! It started to bubble the paint and wrinkle it. So consequently I spent about three hours stripping it back down to it's original white. That was much harder than painting it in the first place. So now I had to recoat it in the Fusion and wait for it to dry. I did find out that this Fusion spraypaint is a lot weaker to solvents than regular spraypaint. So I think this time I will use the Fusion as a base coat and then recoat the entire thing with the red to stregthen the durability. So basically I'm back to square one! Which sucks because I was going to have it done for the Chicago LAN. Would of been cool to show it off there, oh well!

It's not that the fusion & clear coat don't like each other... it's that you have to REALLY REALLY clean the coats of Fusion before clearing it. I had the same issue when doing my controller and remote. Did you sand the guitar? If so, you need to rinse it off with water very well and then let it dry, and then probably rinse it off again. I actually recommend wet sanding it before the clearcoat.
