Shared on Wed, 09/19/2007 - 00:53So I went to my first sporting event in AZ. Company field trip to a Diamondbacks game. First time for a NL game. I'm from Michigan and follow the Detroit Tigers which are AL, so I wasn't all that interested in the game. Then I found out ame earlierthat they were playing the SF Giants, cool at least I will get to see Barry Bonds. But Noo! he stubbed his toe in a game earlier this week! Wimp! The D'Backs won 5 to nothing pretty easily.
Anyways very different experience going to a game in AZ. They had the roof closed when we got there and the AC cranking? I know it was 98 degrees outside but, it just didn't feel right watching a ball game indoors with the AC set to 75. Much to my relief about ten minutes before the game they opened the roof, which was pretty cool to watch. Still it was better but it felt like the difference between a sunroof and a convertible.
I will miss Comerica Park back in Detroit! Oh well!
