Glad this week is over

This week at work has been a bit of a train wreck. At least it ended with a good note. I work at a production plant. The company i work for makes industrial cleaning agents. All our customers are various food and beverage, hospitality, textile care companies. This week due to people on vaction and others on sick leave has left us short on manpower and therefore slow in production. Add to that raw material shortages to make said products and equipment problems and a couple of mixing mistakes of products and wreaked havoc on meeting this weeks schedule. I feel sorry for my supervisor. If he had hair he'd be would have ripped it all out by now.

I also had my own personal mini drama to deal with. I have been temporarily filling in a spot for a person who has been on long term disability. I've been in doing this job for over a year now. I've basically made it mine. In the past year no one has seen hide nor hair of the individual in question. Except for the ocational call from a doctor saying that the person is still no cleared to come back for duty.

Now since it has been over a year the company I work for is now able to replace the person with a new permanent worker (me). Last Friday I was told that I have been approved to take over the spot Full time. Somehow the dude (tipped off by someone else) on leave hears that he is being replaced and calls in. He talks to one of the managers and says that he can get  doctors note and be pronounced fit for duty immediately. The assmunch is trying to scew me out of a job that I have obvioulsy earned.

Hearing this sets alarms off in my head. If numbnuts could have gotten clearance to come back so easily, why did it take over a year and finding out that he was about to lose his freaking job. At least I wasnt the only one who found this situation fishy. The company felt the same way. To make a long story short. The job is mine. The other guy.... can go fuck himself and find a new job.

Nice to see the company had your back on that one. As for the other guy, well, sounds like he didn't really think his little plan through to the end. Congrats on the promotion!

Well, many would imply that whatever I say is somehow meant to undermine the community. LOLOL However, I meant you.
