Shared on Sat, 10/25/2008 - 20:27Irritating life. Playing a game that is complicated by the idea of wife and kids (or husband and kids). Suddenly, they want a bigger house. Better furniture. Larger budget. But they complain if I am not at home entertaining them as well. Like which way do you want it? I have to go be the hero. I sometimes work, quest, buy and sell businesses, that sort of thing. Fine.
I can keep my living expenses on an even keel. I only wear nicer clothes because I got tired of people saying I was too ugly or I got dressed in the dark. What's the deal? Do they like my clothes or do they like me? I suppose it depends on what I am wearing.
Love the game. Next time, though, I think I'll just go to the bar and pick someone up for a night. I so want to do something else besides spend 3/4 of my time taking care of a pet rock. I can't get to the story.
I suppose that's what a lot of us feel like when we have to work to support the bricks-and-mortage part of our lives, instead of being able to chuck it all for a few weeks and do what we want (right after chucking it all for a few weeks to do what we want.) What's this house and furniture and clothes and gifts and I'm in a life-or-death-struggle and you IM to tell me you want sex and you're getting unhappy????thing.
No wonder we play games. I'm just not at all sure we really want so much reality in our games. <wink>
At least I can walk around with three weapons on my back without getting arrested.
