Shared on Mon, 12/22/2008 - 06:31I finally did a blog back ground, as you can see. I'm not sure......I didn't know what it would look like, and little she-devils all over my page might give people the wrong impression. Of not! But, now that I know how it works, I may look into something else. Maybe...
Ack! My alone time has been disturbed this morning. Hubby is up cuz he is taking his car in to be worked on. Booooo. I find lately that half hour in the morning is the onliest alone time I have any more, and it has been violated! Well, I'll get over it. I'll leave for work soon. He'll go get the car fixed. Lalalala...
I finally put my itty bitty Christmas tree up yesterday. It is a straggly 4 foot tree, but all dressed up it looks pretty good. As I look around at the mess which is my living area, I wonder what hubby does with his time nowdays. He made a comment the other day that I am just like those guys that say they work their 40 hours a week, so they don't have to do anything else. WTF? I have picked up the laundry again, some of the cooking, and other odds and ends that keep a house going. And, what has he done? I can't tell, other than cutting up my entertainment center, which took him 2 full days to do. I have noticed, most definitely. The more I do, the less he does. I actually know what he does with his time. He sleeps until noon, watches TV, drinks a little coffee, takes a nap, rinse and repeat. Oh, and he "suggests" to me that he is an old man and just doesn't have the energy to do things any more. Well, it may be true. So, shit or get off the pot, sucker!
The kids will be here Christmas Eve, as per usual. We will put the men to work moving things around a bit. The new TV has to be put in place and the old TV goes upstairs to replace the very old TV that has the PS2 hooked up to it. I think gsons will inherit the very old TV, cuz there isn't anything wrong with it, really, and they can replace their very, very, very old TV that they use now for video watching. Hand me downs are a tradition in my family. Of course, it all rolls downhill. Being the youngest of 6, I really knew about that when I was growing up.
Today is the first day of the rest of my life! Have a good one!
