Change is good?

I got the job offer.  The one in Norfolk, which means we now have a place to focus on.  The chances of getting back to NC right now have been eliminated.  Got that news via email from my old nurse manager.  Blah.  So, I start in Norfolk prolly 2 weeks from Monday.  ooooo, very bad timing.  That has not been written in stone anywhere, but that is Thanksgiving week, which, I would think, might cause problems for time off, orientation period, etc.  I started my last job in early November, and had to spend all of my PTO (borrowed it, actually) on holidays for Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.  I was in the hole for months.  Not good.  I would rather wait until after the holidays, but I think the job and my man would not like that at all.  Decisions.  Changes.  Glad I am flexible.

So what is my job in the meantime?  Getting this house ready for sale.  We have duplicates of so many things.  Yard sale?  Not.  Too much trouble.  Charity, I suspect.  I hate moving!  And, we change our mind, or rather, he does, so often, that I don't have any one thing to grab ahold of.  Rent or buy?  Now, even tho we have vetoed buying so many times, it looks like we might buy.  Renting is turning out to be more expensive than buying.  We just want to get into a maintenance free community.  Go figure!  Who wants to mow lawns, tend gardens, etc?  Not I.  And not my man.

So, those are my thoughts for today.  Hopefully, I have direction now and can start moving that way.

My wife and I picked the no maintenance homeowner lifestyle, and I don't think I could ever go back. never mowing the lawn, never shoveling snow, they even do the landscaping/pruning for us. I would call it an ideal lifestyle for any gamer.
