Dead batteries and It's sooo HOT

Lord almighty it is hot outside!  We went from a nice group of days that were wonderfully pleasant straight to 100 degrees!  The sun is shining, no trace of a break, either rain or temperature.  It gets down to 80 at night.  Yikes!  Living in the south we all have A/C, of course.  Well, my car is 11 years old and is due to go in the shop Monday for, guess what?  Yep, the A/C isn't working right.  That is to say, it comes on for 10 or 15 mins, then dies.  Part is ordered.  It's all good.  I will survive until Monday.  But, there is more to it than that.  I drive 4 miles to a Park-n-Ride, then take the bus to work.  Nice cuz it saves gas.  But!  I have to park on a blacktop lot, in the sun.  Yesterday, I got off the nice air conditioned bus, walked to my car, unlocked it, opened the door, and a blast of heat came whooshing out at me!  Yikes!  The steering wheel burned my hands. Hard to drive that way.  On the way to work I always finish my coffee in the car.  I just use a regular coffee cup.  When I went to get out of the car, I tried to grab that coffee cup to take it in the house.  Oh yeh, I dropped that sucker fast!  Makes ya wonder just how hot a car gets sitting in the sun in 100 degree weather.

At the gym this morning my batteries in my CD player died.  Oh man......  So, I had time to think about things, which is usually not good!  I spent a lot of time thinking about this website and what it means to me.  The friends I have made.  The contributions I make, few as they are!  Well, I blog a lot.  I visit the site at least once a day, more likely 4 or 5 times.  I moderate a clan forum.  No work to that!  My clannies mostly behave themselves!  And now I am on the PR/writers team.  W00t!  I like doing it, and I get to see some of the "behind the scenes" stuff.  Is it exciting?  Well, not really....  But, very interesting, to say the least.  Does that mean I get a big "S" next to my name?  What is considered staff, anyways?  Just wondering.......
