Decisions

I have had a tentative job offer, pending references and the usual stuff.  It's a whole new thing for me, although everything about the job I have done small scale at one time or another in my life.  It is part-time and will grow to full time when my boss can convince the powers that be that she needs full time help.  Let it be said that I will not longer be a chemo slinger, but a more autonomos, decision making, leadership type of person.  Yay!  Have I finally made it?  The job is not actually mine yet, but I am quite certain that if the person that will be my boss drove 20 miles to buy me breakfast and do an interview in a restaurant on a Saturday, it is likely in the bag.  I interviewed well, we are going "the next step" and I am waiting to hear.

You know, I have been applying to every job in Virginia that has "infusion", "oncology" or "chemotherapy" in the job title.  I wait.  And I wait.  So I apply more.  Now that I have a job offer, I am hearing from all of those places and they want me for an interview.  Yikes!  What to do?  I like the idea of starting out part time in my new life, in order to adjust a bit.  But a full time position right in Williamsburg is just waiting for me to nab.  But, it is inpatient and I am not sure, if given the choice, that I want that any more.  So, what do I do?

The house is under contract, closing June 21, and I have no idea what to do about all my "stuff".  If I lived there, it would be different, but it is a full day's work just going over there and trying to get it together.  I need help!!!!  I really think stbx should have a yard sale and just get rid of everything.  He is going to an apartment and won't need any ot that stuff, especially all the gardening tools.  Not my problem, tho.  I just want what is mine, but don't have the time or energy to get it.  Bah.

So, that is my life.  It's all good, moving in the right direction, but still a big pile of STRESS!!!!  I will be soooo glad when it is all over.  That will be a few months yet, but, little by little, I am getting there.

Store it. Best thing to do, especially when you do get another house all of those little things get expensive quickly.

Go on the other interviews, it wont hurt to see what they have to offer. Mention you are gong to the "Second Step" for one already and it will help weed-out the ones that aren't very interested and get the others to give up more information up front. I agree with Rau, go ahead get whats yours and if the stbx is just going to get rid of other things go ahead and get them too. Going from a Row-home to a Single home, I can verify getting all the things for a house with a yard gets expensive.

Also how you respond to the results of your decisions or the decisions of others defines who you are.

Well, its not quite that easy to get on first shift unless I went to a different company. The experience would definitely be a plus though.
