going shopping

Insomnia, again last night.  I was actually in bed a little over 6 hours, but awake periodically 4 or 5 times.  BUT, today is the first day of the rest of my life!  Yesterday I signed a lease for my new place.  Today I am doing some serious shopping.  President's Day Sale!  Wow!  I am one lucky doodessa....  I have a knack for looking for stuff that just happens to be on sale.  Like the apartment..  I got a humongously great deal on it, with perks and fees waived, and I didn't even know it till I started the process.  Now, I need lotsa stuff and Macy's is having a huge sale.  I know.  Nothing is ever really on sale, but it's stuff I need so I will go look, and prolly buy.  Another lucky perk?  Time Warner Cable had just what I wanted for a good price, plus free wireless modem (after rebate).  Who could ask for anything more?  I have been a bit unhappy about the furniture that is out there these days.  Yeh, I know, solid will prolly last longer, but I want things I can sink into.  I found some I liked, but colors are also a problem.  It seems we are back to the warm, natural colors of beige, off-white, and various colors of brown.  Reminds me of another time when there were shag rugs.  I luved one sofa that was off-white.  I asked what other colors and he brought me a swatch of an ugly brown that was a different material and, yuk.  I gave up.  And mattresses!  I want a plush pillowtop, of course.  On sale at Macy's!  oooooo, I want to sink into my bed, as well.  Another problem may be delivery date.  Yes, I do procrastinate, especially when I am so absolutely stressed, like now.  So, I will likely be moving into an apartment with nothing!  One store said 8-10 days.  That wasn't good news.  Sleeping on the floor.  Been there, done that.  Don't like it.  Maybe Macy's can deliver sooner...

About the apartment.....It is indeed sorta small, one bedroom loft, but I have access to great stuff.  I have a gym, 2 swimming pools, a tennis court, and other stuff.  Party at Penni's!  Oh yeh, a club house, or whatever it is called.  Nice.
