Happy New Year and other stuff

Happy belated new year y'all.  I've been busy.  I got married last Sunday.  Yay!  That is the best thing that has happened to me for a while.  Oh, yeah, you know Murphy's Law....?  If anythng can go wrong, it will?  Well, my daughter, matron of honor, hurt her back, couldn't even get out of bed let alone drive 3 hours to stand up for me at my wedding.  Ah well, I had a perfectly lovely stand-in and the wedding came off without a hitch.  Very nice.  The bride wore red!!!!

Now my task is to change my name on about a million documents and/or accounts that I have.  OMFG!!!!!  First stop, driver's license.  That went ok.  Second stop...social security.  Guess what?  Nah, you will never in your life guess.  Murphy's Law again......  I found out that I don't exist!  Yes!  My identity has been stolen!  Social security has me living in Detroit, Michigan ever since 1995.  And the name is wrong.  So, the person that stole my identity also changed my name.  Blah.  She is probably drawing a nice check every month, too.  So, I am going through the nightmare of trying to prove I am me.  Then they are going after her.

Can there be anything else?  Oh, yeh, I lost my job.  Well, actually, I quit.  I felt the practice was unethical and a lot of other things I won't/can't go into, but I just up and walked out one day.  No more explanation, just know that I am unemployed, looking forward to retirement, happily married, and unable to draw social security EVER unless I can get someone at the social security office to believe I am who I say I am.
