It's a good day

Today is a good day!  I didn't have to work.  That's always a good day!  But, I rarely work on Mondays.  Just because.  I get a long weekend, and don't have to deal with the after the weekend confusion that goes with working in a clinic.....missing MD orders, walk-ins that have been sick all weekend, call-outs from coworkers cuz they want a long weekend too.  Stuff like that.  We seem to have a revolving door the past year or so.  We no sooner hire someone, that someone else leaves.  Pattie's last day is Friday, and another has resigned, don't know when her last day is.  A couple left last month, and my bud Michelle is still looking...  WTF?  I will always have a job there, cuz I am per diem and they always need me.  My nurse manager told me there were 4 positions I could choose from and just slide into.  NOT!  Why?  I like working 3 days a week.  And, I don't have the responsibilities that come with full time nursing, like committees, doing charge, etc.  I pretty much come and go as I please, work on the days that I want, and try not to get too involved in the stupid politics and high school stuff.  So, that is one reason today is a good day.

Another reason?  I heard from a friend after a loooooong time.  That is always a pleasure.  It took me completely by surprise, but was totally great!  I did the Penni Dance, even.  Well, not really.  lol  But, it was very nice.

And yet another reason?  The countdown, of course!  10 days.  OMG!  I have to pack!  I have to go shopping!  w00t!!!!
