It's time...

Tonight after work I see my lawyer to start the process of splitting up my marital assets.  Some things will be easy, but mostly hard.  And, after 20+ years, it seems so impersonal, even cold, to sit down with pen and paper and say...this is mine, that is his, we need to sell that and split the money 50/50, etc.  Oh yeh, he will be there, making me a bit uncomfortable.  But, the time has come to move ahead.   I have been separated for a year now.  Wow, time flies when you're having fun!!  And I have met my soul mate.  Who would have thought that 2 people with 2 such different backgrounds would actually have so much in common?  He is a wonderful, caring person, has a beautiful soul, and a great body!!!!  What more could a girl want?  Oh, yeh, he is a gamer!  w00t!  And my age.  It is soooo refreshing to have age in common, after the 21 year difference I had for so long.  We like the same music, remember the same things, have grandchildren the same age, and many other things that make life soooo good!

So, some of you have asked me for an update on my life, and this is it.  I am still working slinging chemo at UNC.  I live in my little loft with my kitty and have a weekend visitor pretty frequently.  I have gotten a whole new Italian family, and they are wonderful!  I have been accepted with open arms, even Gerry's little g-daughter.  She is so sweet.  I will be going north to Michigan for a family get-together/memorial service for my 2 sisters that have passed this year.  There will be no sadness here.  We will be celebrating family and being in a better place.  That is in June, and I may go on a bit of a road trip then.  I will be very close to Canada, Dave?  Marcie?  I could "stop by" with little difficulty.  And, the best news, I may be living in Virginia by then.  We hope so, anyways.  Gerry has a 3 story townhouse that is virtually empty that I get to decorate and fill up.  And there is plenty of room for visitors.  Y'all are welcome!  And Sweet Thang?  We will get together after that, cuz Richmond is just a hop, skip and a jump away. 

So, the update is, LIFE IS GOOD!!!!
