Leagues, Tourneys, and other Fun Stuff

I know there are tourneys and such going on throughout our community, in particular the Community Playdate on Xbox Live February 8 from 8:00-11:00 pm EST (plug), but how many clans have unofficial leagues and whatnot, basically for bragging rights?  I know there are the WoW raids, and you have to already be "good" and "geared" to get into them.  And, you have to be willing to lose sleep cuz they are always late.  And there are informal various xbox get togethers just to play.  We rarely hear about the informal leagues and tourneys going on within clans, so I will tell you about my clan.

We have a weekly "tourney" every Sunday at noon EST.  It is double elimination and winner gets not only bragging rights, but gets to choose the format for the following Sunday.  If you don't know Magic, it won't make sense, but we have come up with the weirdest stuff.  During the election you had to build a red deck and a blue deck, and alternate them.  Funny.  We play singleton, commons only, uncommons only, and lots of other fun stuff.  Currently those are on hold for a sealed deck league which started yesterday.  Yeh, superbowl day.  We had a good start and have a sense for who to watch out for.  My deck is not a killer, unfortunately, but I still play.  The guys hafta have someone to beat up on, right?  So, that is what is going on in my clan, 2old2play MTGO atm.  Fun times.
