Moving Day soon

My stress level has decreased from a 10+++++/10 to about 7/10.  That is tolerable.  Move in date is a week from Saturday.  I am still looking at furniture, but think I have decided on a minimum of stuff that I like.  I won't need a lot.  I don't take up much space....  It is a wonder and an adventure for me to think about being alone and what I will do.  Will I cook?  If so, what???  I have washer and dryer included (a nice perk) so I will have to learn to do laundry again.  I know, but that is only one of the control issues in my current household.  There are many more.  He thinks he has turned me into virtually helpless as far as running a house goes, but he is oh so wrong!  Those talents have just been resting for a while, soon to be explored.

I will seriously be looking at kitties in the next couple weeks.  I need a warm body (or two) and kitties seem to be my only choice atm.  Hmmm, that means I will need kitty litter, toys, and a scratching post to hopefully save my furniture.  No, I will not declaw.  I just can't do that.

This is the website that has pics of my loft apartment.  It is completely open, so appears larger than it really is.  But, that's ok.  Like I said, I don't take up much space.  Did I say I got a really great deal?  Just because it is "off season" the loft was on special.  First month's rent is free.  Washer and dryer included for the duration of my first lease, which will be until May 2010.  They knock almost $100 of the rent.   Nicccce.  I have a gym with all the weight machines I need.  2 swimming pools, which I doubt I will ever use.  And it is very close to work.  Now, I just have to furnish it and find out when Beth can help me move stuff.  Oh yeh, her SO has a truck.  Sweet.

Now, have I told him yet?  Um, no.  I need lots and lots of emotional energy when I do, cuz it will be a battle.  I have not had that for a while, so I will be working on getting some sleep and whatever I need to do to get this done.  And, I will have to set a date and time to do it, or I will procrastinate more.  I need lotsa hugs right now, and virtual are very ok.  :)

My new digs...

I find cat toys to be a waste. Out cats would rather play with ribbon, boxes, bags, and whatever else they shouldn't play with while the toys sit dormant.

A cat "teaser" is never a waste. Get a nice one with feathers and they will go nuts over it. But the first thing you need if your serious about taking care of your cats, is a cat tree.
