My Adventure

Oh man!  What a nightmare!  Who would have thought that a snow storm in the north would affect me flying south from NC.  Wellllll, to make a long story short, we missed our flight out to Miami to catch our cruise.  Ack!  I spent a total of 5 hours either waiting in line or on hold to various airlines until I finally gave up and called Royal Caribbean and told them my story.  So, they were absolutely wonderful, and transferred our first reservation to a new one, leaving Sunday, instead of Saturday.  Of course, it cost us, big time, but I was determined!  There were absolutely no flights to be had, so we started our adventure right from the airport.  Already packed, ready to go, we took off for Miami, driving.  No map, no idea how long it would take.....  after 8 hours or so on the I-95 race track, we stopped, got some sleep, and started again.  It turned out to be a total of about, I dunno, maybe 14 hours altogether.  What an adventure!  I earned back my nickname "Penni Andretti", pushing 85 mph all the way in my 10 year old Honda Civic.  What a gas!  No pun intended....
