my Saturday adventure

Yesterday, Juan, the drug rep, brought us lunch from Panera bread company.  It was great.  One of my favorite places.   We had soup, sandwiches, salad, French bread, and cookies for desert.  Simple, but very nice.  So, after work, everyone split up the leftovers.  I ended up taking home a loaf of french bread.  Absolutely wonderful fresh, poopy one day old.  More soon...

I played some WoW this morning.  Late in the morning I took a shower and hopped in the car to run errands.  Hmmm, a new Saturday routine.  I had to return something, so I went to Kinkos and FedExed it.  Stopped off at Target and found the perfect basket for storing my bathroom stuff in.  Ya know, hair stuff and whatever else tends to sit on the bathroom counter.  there is absolutely nowhere to put that stuff here, so a basket seemed to be the answer.  Well, it works, and looks great.  Mess gone!  Then I did my grocery shopping.  Fun stuff.  I get to eat girly food!  Woohoo!

Played a little more WoW this afternoon.  I'm getting soooo close to 70.  I'm at 69 and a few bubbles.  Whew.  And I have my epic mount.  All is good in WoW-ville.  I didn't have anything planned for supper so I started rummaging through what I had bought and tried to figure out what I wanted.  Yummmm.....strawberries!  A sandwich with strawberries on the side hit the spot.  But, wait!  The french bread.  This is the rest of the story.  I looked at that french bread and went right to the web and searched for 'bread pudding'.  I had to have it!  I found an Amish recipe that sounded just right.  But, I left allll my kitchen stuff at the house.  So, I hopped in the car for the second time today and went in search of a 1 1/2 qt casserole, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, and a hand mixer.  Oh yeh, and a mixing bowl!  Now, that is something I never would have done a few months ago.  Woot!  Adventure!  I found everything I needed in a relatively short time, got home, and the bread pudding is baking right now.  mmmmm, smells good.  Bread pudding with strawberries.  It doesn't get much better than that!
