NE LAN on my mind

Boy am I glad I decided not to work full time!  I did 4 days this week and it was just stress city!  And, physically demanding, as well.  Agh!  I will stick to per diem 3 days a week or whatever.  Next week only ONE!  Yay!

I have had little time to tighten up the planning for the NE LAN.  I have not gotten a response from my contact in Manchester, but that was email.  I have spoken to her on the phone and our spot is reserved, for now.  I am trying to get some wiggle room on the price of the meeting room.  Anything I can do to get it down!  Sell my body!  Promise my firstborn child!  Yeh, right, too late for either of those!  It is fun bargaining, tho.  I do it all the time!  The room rate is great cuz, she said, it was the last week of the low season.  Personally, I just think she liked me!    I've been looking at flights.  Mine will be just over $200.  Hmmmm, maybe she'll throw my room in for free if I can get enough people to attend.  Hear that, guys?  NE LAN is the place to be this April 25-27, 2008.  Fun times!  oooo, back to work.....
