Not official yet, but...

It's raining here.  Blah.  I guess there is a tropical storm causing it all.  So, I was late getting to work and called my boss to tell her I was stuck in traffic.  Yes, in these here parts if there is even a whisper of a problem, rain, a car pulled over on the side of the road, or, god forbid, a real accident, all cars come to a stop and no one goes anywhere.  So, I told her I had this interview and was going straight there and would come to work after.  OK.  Well, they kept me ALL DAY!!!!!  First I was close to 3 hours at the Newport News office meeting everyone and basically just chatting with 2 of the supervisors.  I luved them!  Real oncology nurses with the same warped sense of humor I miss so much.  I had a blast!  Then they sent me to Gloucester which was about a 45 minute drive from where I was, and THEY kept me the entire rest of the day.  My soon to be ex-boss was worried and left a message on my voice mail to make sure I was ok.  It seems she had not found the time to listen to HER voicemail to get the message that I would be tied up the rest of the day.  Ah well, it's all good now.  I am alive and well and waiting for the official word from human resources with a job offer.  Woot!  The drawback?  It is indeed a full hour's drive there and back.  But, the good thing is I will be working 8-5:30 4 days/week.  Bonus!  Full time and a day off during the week.  Cool beans!

I am at present getting a whole bunch of kitty luv, which is a combination of "pet me" nudges, licking and biting.  Why do cats bite the ones they love?  So, since I can hardly type from all the attention I am getting, I'll catch y'all later.
