Shared on Thu, 02/26/2009 - 06:35I went back to work yesterday and that was a good thing. My adrenalin high has started to come down, and I started feeling more "normal" about half-way thru the day. No, I didn't crash. Why should I? There are a lot of curious people wondering why I would take a couple days off from work, obviously not sick. And others that know why. Even tho it seems as if I spill my guts in this blog, I really don't. I am a pretty private person, therefore, most of my coworkers don't even know I have moved into an apartment.....alone. Funny, I just can't bring myself to stand up in the middle of a room and say, finally, "Yes! It's true! I have left him and I'm glad!". The rumor is quickly spreading, tho, and anybody that asks gets the answer.
I don't get my kitty until Saturday morning. Boooo. Saturday will be a very busy day. I have 2 deliveries, my living room furniture and my bed. Yay! A bed! Queen sized, of course. And very soft. yum. Currently my dining room set is a card table and 2 folding chairs. Not so bad, actually. It is not easy to find a table and chairs small enuf to fit in the, ahem, dining room. For now, I think this is ok.
Still so much to do. My tempo has slowed down, which is good. I'll get those things done. I don't feel pressured any more, so I will get done what I need to, when I can. I took a couple pics of the place before. One is a view from the loft of the awful mess everything was. Well, not that bad. Another of the tiny kitchen, which I think is just perfect! I will post them, and the new stuff, after a while. Oh yeh, one thing that did not occur to me about apartment living. If you put in a work order, the work gets done whether you are home or not. Ack! Invasion! But all is well now, and on we go.....
