Random Thoughts

The rooster let me sleep in today!  That is, if you call 6:45 sleeping in...  For me, it is, anyways.  So, he gets to live another day!

We had some bad storms last night.  There were some tornado warnings close by, but I just went to bed and hoped I was still here in the morning.  I am.  It's going to be a lovely day, too!  w00t!  It's the first day of the rest of my life!

I have been asked to participate in the "secret" writers/PR forum.  It feels so nice to be needed and/or wanted.  Now, I have to figure out what I am going to do, and do it!  I have never written anything other than papers for school.  I did well on those.  I enjoyed doing the research for them and putting it all together.  Hmmm, could be fun.

I really have to do something about the Chi Lan.  I bought my ticket a looooong time ago.  Now, I have to reserve my room and book a flight.  Procrastination!  I will try to do that today.....

May is a month of special days for me.  My sister's B-day is the 19th.  Hubby's is the 24th.  My daughter's anniversary the 1st.  And, of course, there is Memorial Day!  My mother always called it decoration day cuz it was when all the flowers were blooming and we would gather them and "decorate".  But today is special because it is a very special person's b-day.

After a hardy rainstorm filled all the potholes in the streets and alleys, a young mother watched her two little boys playing in the puddle through her kitchen window.

The oler of the two, a five-year-old lad, grabbed his sibling by the back of his head and shoved his face into the water hole.

As the boy recovered and stood laughing and dripping, tyhe mother runs to the yard in a panic.

'Why on earth did you do that to your little brother?' she says as she shook the boy in anger.

'We were just playing church, Mommy' he said.  'And I was baptizing him...In the name of the Father, the Son, and in...The Hole-He-Goes.
