Saturday thoughts

What is wrong with my hands?  Ack!  I noticed my palms peeling a few days ago.  Sorta like a sunburn would.  They don't hurt or itch or anything, just peeling.  It could be hand & foot syndrome....Not!  I would have to be taking chemo, which I don't!  I only administer it.  Ahhhh, latex sensitivity?  Could be.  Some nurses after years of latex glove exposure get sensitive, some actually get allergic.  Hmmmm.  If it's true, I guess I will have to retire!  Right........

I like to people watch.  Not a lot, but sometimes.  This spring we have had lovely weather here in NC.  Oh, we have had more rain than usual, but we needed it badly.  But, here it is almost June and it is still staying below 80 degrees.  Sweet!  Anyways, people are out and about, and I was observing them today.  I saw lots of families out shopping or getting lunch at the shopping center.  I had a bagel myself.  What I would like to say is, you dads!  It grabs at my heart when I see dads with their children, especially sons, and they are obviously very attentive and loving.  I saw quite a few today, some even left mom at home.  Nice.  For all of the dads that have sons, cherish them!  I did not have the luxury of a good father for my kids.  I raised them alone.  Even when I was still married to "the other one", my life was all about wondering where he was, if he was coming home (ever!), getting him out of jail, etc.  My kids missed having a father......sad.

The current one, hubby for >20 years, is having a birthday today.  Happy birthday, Boo Boo!
