It is extremely stressful to make a life changing decision. But, once it is done, and the adrenalin smooths out, it's all good.
Having an adolescent cat (about 9 months) is like having a child, prolly a toddler. But, they have unconditional luv for you, and that is a treasure.
Changing from country to modern (furniture, decorating, etc.) is a good way to really let loose of your past. No more quilts or cross-stich!
Speaking of the past, don't let it influence you, make you feel guilty, or anything else that is negative. The future is now. Have fun with that!
When you separate from a spouse, you are suddenly very popular.
Relearning how to run a household is interesting and insightful. No one picks up after you. If you don't do the laundry, your scrubs won't be clean for work Monday. Stuff like that.
You can be just as happy in a small apartment as in a large house. And, you don't have to mow the lawn or weed the garden.
You can be alone, but not lonely. And, vice versa.
You can remain friends with your recently separated spouse, but remember to say no to the over-nights. And, remember to say no whenever it suits you.
And now, pics of my kitty, Keesha, up on the balcony of my loft. Yes, she is that little thing waaaaaaay up there.
This one I zoomed in.
This one shows a little better how high up she is. She sits up there and sees me downstairs and cries. She hasn't jumped down......yet.
