Shared on Sun, 01/23/2011 - 15:17Vertigo (from the Latin vertō "a whirling or spinning movement"[1]) is a type of dizziness, where there is a feeling of motion when one is stationary.[2] The symptoms are due to a dysfunction of the vestibular system in the inner ear.[2] It is often associated with nausea and vomiting as well as difficulties standing or walking.
Oh yeah, that was me this morning. I haven't had a vertigo attack for years, but, they come unnanounced and make me feel very sick and totally useless. Lifting my head off the pillow would make me quite nauseated, so better just to sleep it off, which I did for the better part of the day today. But now I'm up, feeling better, and even got breakfast in bed! Nice. Course, breakfast was at 1:00 this afternoon. I can't believe I slept so long!
So, I'm good, and work starts again tomorrow, as usual.
