The yearly PITA, or, breast sandwich, anyone?

I am having my "yearly" mammogram this morning.  I don't really expect anything.  Been there, done that, what, 3 times already?  Always negative.  But each time they do a little more.  First time was years ago.  I got as far as the surgeon, he examined me, and sent me home.  Good for that!  The lump was easy to find cuz it was tender.  Number 1, if it is tender, it is likely a cyst.  That's what it was.  Second time, just an ultrasound, which was also ok.  Then the third time I graduated to a biopsy.  Ack!  Hated that.  Now I have this permanent little piece of metal in place that shows up on mammo.  And an itsy bitsy scar.  So, this will be me for the rest of the day.
