Beer Review : Unibroue's Trois Pistoles

I realize that the last review I did was another Unibroue but I'm going to do this one anyway.

Trois Pistoles (or 3 pistols) is a dark as hell tripel from Unibroue brewery in Canada. Not much head, it has the perfect amount of carbonation. The initial sip lets you really feel the 9% alcohol content. It actually stings your nostrils. The palette is almost citrusy (think of a really dank, strong orange, not like hooegarden), and rather sweet. You definitely feel it on the sides of your tongue. The finish is actually a bit rough. I think the malt tastes a  little burned, but there is a strong hint of cinammon as well.

Overall, it's worth trying once. A 750ML will run you around $11 and at 9%, it's definitely not a session beer.
