does anyone have any friendly advice on installing an outdoor koi pond? I got a whole setup for free and I'm going to attempt it today.

I'd just make sure to protect it from water runoff from your yard. You don't want fertilizer, weed killer, extra crap in general flowing into it. Awesome blog header.

Is it a hard or soft plastic liner? If hard, make sure you have a generous amount of gravel/sand for drainage and levelling.
