Shared on Sat, 01/13/2007 - 14:11Don't know how the wires got crossed with 18004MYXBOX but I was sent a wired headset (related to my wireless headset problem I imagine).
Called them up, they said I could ship it back. I asked if this meant I had to pay for return shipping on it and she said just keep it.
So now I have 2 wired headsets not in use. I wonder if there's a market value on ebay for them!

In other news I'm patching kdelibs (KDE 3.5.5 - kubuntu) to pass the proper umask flag when invoking pmount. This is annoying the heck out of my wife because we use 2 separate X sessions to have 2 desktops running @ the same time, but when she inserts memory cards into the PC it will randomly mount on 1 desktop or the other and the loser desktop has no access to the media.
On top of that, when you copy files from the mounted media it copies them with no permissions for anyone other than the user performing the copy. So anyway, I'm fixing that so it mounts and copies correctly. I'll supply a patch to the kubuntu maintainer and see if he cares. If not I'll keep a local patched kdelibs if anyone is interested (DOUBT IT!) :)
