Its an epidemic people. Apparently partial Credit card information along with other personal information has been pilford by the attack! Their most popular game being the MMO Rift was the main target. So we have Sony Hacked, and its an all out Cluster Fuck, then there was another company afterwords i believe it was a car company. Then Last week Square Enix, and this week Trion Worlds. There is probably more but looking at how much press Square Enix and this trion thing has gotten, we probably never knew. They wont tell us for fear of mass exodus out of their games and what a crash to the MMO market that would be. No we will put our users at risk for fear we could lose their faith and their money. Thats backwards logic, yes? Who is next? XBOXLIVE and probably my bank. Screw you hackers.

 

Guess what, if you are a rifts player, they will give you 3 free game days and a ingame coinpurse that adds 10%loot on mob drops. Yippee fuckin Skippee! This internet insecurity means I gotta go. Goodbye.

No information is secure anymore. I pay $5 a month to get texts informing me of purchases over $250 on my cc or if $250 or more total is purchased throughout the day. Slightly annoying during the holidays when I'm buying gifts, but it keeps my identity theft paranoia at bay.

You're forgetting Origin and the loophole that allowed people to steal XBL-accounts, Polteg. No way I'm registering my CC at Origin and my XBL has a new email-address because I joined SWTOR (origin handled). I'm also not updating my CC details at various market-sites, instead opting to pay through direct banking using a trusted portal (Ideal). I've gotten a new CC this month, so my old one is still on record on those sites. Those old and worthless records can be hacked to kingdom-come for all I care XD

I nevedr forgot that CC. I never knew. These kindsa things are not getting the publicity they warrant. And no body seems to care. Whats happened, after Sony, we have gotten it all out of our system? Let the hackers have their fun, I don't have a trion account so i don't care. Well the bastards don't seem to be slowing down. Sure its been awhile since sony was hit, but it was only a week between trion and SqareEnix. These buggers are only gonna get better, and thats pretty scary to me.
