Fun times

I've decided to go ahead and hit the gym this morning for some extra cardio.  Originally I was going to take this weekend off entirely to rest my quad injury, but I've felt strong enough through the week that I'm willing to give it a go.  I still tone down the incline during the week on the treadmill in the form of less time spent on the max incline I go to.  I still get there, but now its for the last 5 minutes instead of the last 20.

I met up with a buddy of mine for lunch yesterday, we went to Old Country Buffet.  This wound up being one of those times I do a 2nd cheat meal in a week.  :(  Anyway, we get there and he decides to pay for both of us, which was nice of him.  There was a sign there telling us that kids in costume eat free on Halloween, so Dan of course wanted to see if we could get in on the free meal action and asks the girl at the register about it.  

Her response: "Where's your costume"?"

Me (gesturing at Dan): "Seriously, you think people look like this normally?"

So he and I have a good laugh (we riff on each other quite a bit, Dan is one of my closest friends) when suddenly this girl tells me what a cheapskate I am because Dan paid.  Ok I get it, you're joining in our laughs.  Thats fine.  So I laugh and just go along with it, when she makes ANOTHER comment about me being cheap.  Now she's smiling the whole time so I just figure "hey, she's young..she's just trying too hard".

We grab a table and head up to the buffet, and as I'm putting a salad together this chick is following me around giving me shit.  WTF?  So I get back to the table and Dan is laughing his ass off.  I'm like "dude, either you paid the bitch or she really likes you and is intent on torturing me for fucking with you".  So of course his response was "Nah man, pretty sure she likes you.  In fact, before we leave I'll fix the whole thing.  Thats your future ex-wife there, buddy".  And he absolutely would've done something horrifying, so I reminded him of the rules of escalation lol.  He was willing to take the chance.  But then I remembered that he had started smoking again and his wife was pissed about it.  So I pointed out to him that his wife would be home by the time we got back from lunch, and then I mocked "Gosh Nancy, I wish Dan wouldn't smoke in the car...its so hard to get the smell out of my jacket!".  WINNER!  lol  (just a disclaimer, I wouldn't have done that and he knows it)  Good afternoon overall.  We found some guy on ioffer.com who has just about the entire Prince Planet anime series on dvd so we ordered that, can't wait to get it.  In my futile attempts to find copies of this show over the years, Dan has been the only person I've known who actually remembers that anime from the 60s.

Thats her!  Thats my darling Yuliya lol.  Apparently she's quite busy, what with all the scamming people and everything.  And looking over those letters on the site, she was working at least one other guy at the same time she was working me.  She cheated on me!  :)  I also noticed that the name and email she used with me weren't reported on that site, but another email address and name looked familiar.  So I broke out the spam email account I use (for signing up on sites that I am positive will generate tons of spam email) and dug back a few years, and sure enough she had hit me up about a year later using a different name and different email.  The thing thats really funny is that she was using such bad english in her emails to me, but clearly going by some of the messages she wrote to other people her english is pretty good.  Thats a pro, folks.  And sadly some people seem to have fallen for her scheme and are out quite a bit of money.  I guess loneliness will over ride common sense sometimes.
