Or, "How to Spend a Friday Night if You're a Nerd":  On my poorly named healing cleric, Smiter:

Jinkies, Scooby!  Whats that coming out of the fog?

Oh teh Noes!  Its Golestandt, the Albion dragon!  Attack!!

The fog lifts, and we got us a rumble!  Its on!!

In the end, our group was too much for the Godzilla wannabe.  Here I am in my mansion in player housing celebrating under the mounted head of Golley.  Victory!

WTB a life...PST.

DAOC was really ahead of its time for the MMO with the realms and frontiers all battling over control of the keeps. I ran with a Shadowblade for *ages* in that game on the frontier, making the Hibs and Albs scream bloody murder - that is, until I got hit with the nerfbat making one-hit kills still reveal a hidden blade. Once that went in, it became impossible to gank someone in a group, and the fun left (and so did I).

You would've hated what they did to the CS line then. 1-shot kills are no more. A few years back assassins were way overpowered due to ToA with its artifacts and such, and were actually taking out full tanks. So instead of fixing the actual problem which was the ToA content they nerfed the CS line. They claimed to have fixed it a few years back, but when you can't 1-shot a seated caster with a PA (had to hit him twice more to kill him) then its time to put the infiltrator on the shelf, as I did.
