Ok, had some problems breathing again last night. Its probably not accurate to say that, but it felt like the throat was closing up again (even though it really wasn't) but it was hard to take deep breaths and I was pretty congested. This happens mostly at night, it starts up maybe between 7-8. Anyway I really couldn't sleep until about 3 or so in the morning. I still got up at 5 to lift, but I ultimately decided not to go in. I'll make the workout up Saturday and I've promised myself not to obsess over it today, it was the right decision to make.
I actually tweaked my back Monday while doing this circuit bit I do for front and rear delts. It was during the rear delt part, where I bend at the waist to do the lifts. The dumbbells are only 30lbs so thats not a concern, and the bend is actually quite safe. The whole thing is controlled. But for whatever reason during my 4th set I felt the disc twinge (for lack of a better term) a few reps in and I lost strength in my legs. I slowly stood up, gathered myself for a moment, then went and finished the set. But I felt the weirdness in my legs and soreness in my lower back while I was on the treadmill afterwards so I took it easy. I was really concerned about it yesterday since yesterday was leg day, but again I took it easy on the treadmill and backed the weight down on the presses and there were no issues. Well I did have one issue, seems I was a bit gassy yesterday for some reason. Gas + leg day = no winners.
So with that in mind, going in this morning to lift with pretty much no rest was not a good idea. Its a little aggravating (I am NOT obsessing though!) to have to miss a day, but like I said I'll work out on Saturday and that will be my 5 for the week.
I picked up Deus Ex: Human Revolution yesterday. Wow this game is really fucking good. I mean, really really good. Between the level designs catering to different styles of gameplay and the different augmentation abilities, not to mention conversation/behaviour choices, this will warrant multiple playthroughs. If I knew the strat guide was any good (they usually suck) I'd actually buy it for this one.
