SQUIRREL!

First off I apologize for putting up another blog while my last one is still up in the header, but I'm on a deadline here people! Deadline! Plus it doesn't seem like as many people blog here lately which is a shame, I usually enjoy a lot of the blogs here.

Looks like the gout crisis has passed without much issue. There's slight residual pain in the foot (as there usually is at the end) but overall its good. I went out and bought some naproxen sodium (also known as Alleve lol) and that helped a ton, so thanks for the recommendation 'bama!

Got a call from the repair center that was looking at my tv and it seems they were able to repair it completely. It was returned to me yesterday and now sits in my living room until I can sell it. Speaking of, I put the set up on craigslist yesterday if anyone is interested. If someone from here actually is interested I would drop the price a bit for a fellow 2o2p'er.

When I last got severed out of a job back in 2002 it hit me pretty hard. Of course in addition to losing my job of 12 years I also lost my fiancee of 3 years (left me out of the blue) and sort of lost my home since I had to move being that I couldn't afford the place on my income (zero) alone. That was a pretty rough time and I went through it by and large alone, so I fell into somewhat of a rut for quite awhile. This time to avoid some of those trappings I've been making a point to get outside a few times a day and interact with society in some form or another. Many times I'll just sit out on the front steps of the apartment enjoying the nice weather.

Yesterday I noticed that the squirrels in the area seem to be on a schedule of their own when it comes to rummaging food out in the parking lot area and out front of the apartment buildings. Its pretty cool watching them, they actually seem to be quite organized. I actually had one come over and evaluate me for meal potential. Not in the "can I drag this big fucker back to my nest without rupturing a spleen?" evaluation (at least I hope not!) but rather "hey buddy, got anything you wanna donate to the cause?" type of thing. He'd sit on the steps, check me out, rummage in the dirt, come back to check me out, rummage some more. He moved on to the next huilding and eventually came back and sat at the bottom of the steps behind the railing. At one point he peeked out to get a better look at me:

You can see his little left arm is holding onto the railing. I think he thought he was still hiding and trying to be all ninja-like and stealthy while observing me. I actually got a good laugh from his antics.

So I'm thinking about getting a bag of peanuts and maybe feeding these guys a little. Good idea or no? I'd like to avoid a scenario like this one if possible:

And since its Friday, let's keep it light and humorous. What better way to do that than with Moe, Larry and Curly? I give you one of my favorite Stooge moments, Swinging the Alphabet from "Violent is the Word for Curly". And cause I'm a swell fella I'll even throw in the entire episode for free! Have a great weekend.

I have a squirrel that runs along the back fence. My dog will in the afternoon lay down by the sliding door in the back and as soon as that squirrel shows up she jump up faster than any other time she moves and starts growling and hopping . I let her out but her old fat ass has no chance in covering that kind of distance before the squirrel makes it to the next yard. But i laugh anyway.

Nice. My cat will sit by the patio door chattering all kinds of trash talk when a squirrel walks by, but as soon as I open the patio door (screen door is up) she runs like hell the other way. You think it would be bad idea to feed them? That pic with the squirrel holding onto the railing as it peeks behind it still kills me. I'm a sucker for animals.
