Breathing Room

Well, our housemate is out of the house tonight, supposed to be staying with her ex-boyfriend tonight to watch movies because he doesn't want to be alone - aw, poor baby. The guy's a real piece of work. He's a control freak and nothing is EVER his fault. Our housemate says she wouldn't mind being friends with the guy, but the problem is that he wants to be more than friends, and get back together with her. This guy really ticked me off today. She had made plans to go down there today and said that she'd be there around 4:30. Her car has been having trouble and so I was trying to help her get it fixed. We took it out last night and it sounded awful, so I told her it was probably a good idea if she didn't drive it. I didn't say she COULDN'T go, but that my dad was supposed to be up here before dark to look at it. Well, that got her into melt down mode because then the ex and his relatives who'd made plans for dinner tonight were pissed off at her. Sorry, but to me, fixing your car which is your basic mode of transportation is more important than making it to dinner and movie plans.

She mellowed out a bit when he agreed to meet us somewhere to pick her up - she didn't want him knowing where our house was. So I take her over there, which is just down the street from our main crossroads, and we're not even half a block away and he calls her wondering where she is because she's A MINUTE LATE. This guy has SERIOUS issues, and I told her if he ever pissed me off, I would tell him that they were through.

Anyway, she's not here right now to bug PA, and so I'm probably going to hang out and get some writing done. Last night at the writer's meeting we went to she hit me up with a collaborative project she wants to do with me which will cut into my own writing time and I need to get some of my own shit done, so likely not going to be on to play tonight until I get some work done on a story. Last night's reading was cut in half, I took chapter three, and I only have 5 chapters on the story I've been reading, so yeah, definitely have to get some work done.

I am taking PA to work tonight though in case I have to go get her.
