Well, we went and bought a Garmin Handheld GPS unit to aid us in our geocaching adventures. We printed out several locations for us try our treasure hunting skills.

Our first location turned up dry, maybr it was too old? or has been disturbed? Our second location turned up dry as well although these woods werent as thick and the kids enjoyed the romp throught he woods.

Our last location decribed as "kid friendly" was just that! Located at Starcadia (Minigolg, Go-carts, and an arcade) about ten ffet into the woods and bingo. The kids were pretty stoked. Nathan took forever to decide on what to take and exchange for his "glow in the dark" dino.

We will be doing this more, I look forward to it now. hell i want to start planning some trips around it.

So which one did you get? All your talk about geocaching has caused me to start again. After a 3 year break, I went and found several yesterday. I borrowed a gps for now while I decide which one I want to buy. I had a Garmin 60c and lpved it. The new Oregon sounds nice. So what is your geocaching name? Mine is tnfishdaddy.

Sounds pretty cool. The wife and I go hiking a lot so this seems right up our alley. Be sure to tell us more about your future trips.
