Well, where do I begin. As stated in my last Blog(did i state it?) We adopted a 1.5 ~2 yr old Jack Russell Terrier. It's been 5 days, So i will re-cap it for you day by day.

Saturday March 21

Day one started with the family going to the Cherry Blossom Festival. Which is always a good time. We got there early due to the fact that my boss purchsed some Pink Pancake Vouchers for everyone in the lab, proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society. Pink pancakes were good, not worth a 45 min. wait in line though. After our breakfast the "Owner" of AJ called us and informed us that they are at the playground so we make our way over. There was an initial greeting and then the kids played ball with him while we inspected his attitude with the kids. After we decided he was right for us we handed over the adoption fee and aquired our new family member. He also said the seizure could have been the high blood sugar or possible the stress of moving twice in a month.

Sunday March 22

Pretty much a easy going day, you could tell AJ was a bit nervous and unsure on how to behave. That evening we gave him a hard workout played ball for along time. He came back inside and threw up. We are guessing from the strong workout.

Monday March 23

I goto work. About 2 hours later my wife calls me, she's in tears. AJ just went through a seizure. I try my best to calm her down and tell I cant come home, work was shorthanded that day. She manages to get her greatuncle(which lives down the road) to help her take him to the vet. After diagnosing AJ with borderline diabetes and aquiring his heartworm medicine and frontline we were down 88$. Doc said keep an eye on him and if he continues to have seizures he may need to be put on Phenobarbatol(sp?).

Tuesday March 24

AJ seems ill, he isnt eating much and I can hear BubbleGuts in his abdomen. But he still loves to play ball, we arent going near as rough on the workout.

Wednesday March 25

I get home from work and try something a co-worker recommended. Sprinkle in some cheese into his dogfood, now he's eating it without. He has eaten like a cup and half. Woot woot! He doesnt seem to be ill anymore (crosses fingers). And during our sessions of play outside during the five days I've been trying to teach him how to climb the kids fort and slide down the slide. I think he really enjoys it, while at work my wife took him out to play ball and she threw the ball and instead of bringing it straight back he took it up the steps and used the slide without anyone telling him too... lol. Smart dog.

He has alos had a couple of accidents in the house,.. once he puked grass, and the night of the bubbleguts he sh*t alot of liquid in the kitchen floor.

Now you are caught up... maybe i'll try to make a video of the sliding.
